个人简介：Dr. Chunlin Xu is Professor in Fiber and Biopolymer Chemistry at Laboratory of Natural Materials Technology, Åbo Akademi University (ÅAU) in Finland. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2008 at ÅAU. He conducted his postdoc research at KTH, Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and had a 2-year industrial experience at Kemira in Sweden. He missionizes his research to pioneer in creating innovative and sustainable values from biomass and thus his research activities are focused on the following topics: characterization of plant cell wall components, biomass processing, biopolymer chemistry, and thus development of advanced biomaterials including using advanced fabrication techniques. Dr. Xu has published 149 peer-reviewed papers,100+ conference proceedings and abstracts, and 2 patents; H-index of 40 and citations of 5446 by Scopus or of H-index of 45 and citations of 7171 by google scholar.. Xu has supervised 8 Postdocs, 8 PhDs (4 With Distinction), 15 MSc as well as currently having 3 Postdocs, 15 PhD students and several supporting researchers. Since 2019, Dr. Xu’s research has attracted funding of 10+ M€ (>7 M€ as responsible PI) by Academy of Finland, Business Finland, EU, other foundations, and industries. He is consortium leader of two ongoing Business Finland-funded Projects. The one SUSBINCO (2320/31/2021) consists of 7 research organizations and 11 industrial partners with a total budget of over 10 M€. He is the member of the Shareholder Forum and in the Bioeconomy task force for Clic Innovation Ltd (innovation cluster in bioeconomy, energy, and cleantech).
